BB Studios recording room 2

Big Barn Studios at Weissenhaus

The Project

Jan Henric Buettner conceptualized the idea for Big Barn Studios with the goal of creating a music studio where the best of both worlds merge: a professional environment for music production and an energetic retreat for creativity to flourish.

The Location

At WEISSENHAUS a modern music studio has been established: Big Barn Studios. In the historic Reetscheune under a beautiful thatched roof the studio offers the highest standards of technology and equipment.

High quality equipment

Big Barn Studios was designed and built within 18 months. Experienced planners and producers have contributed to the equipment. The result is an environment with a unique ambience and state-of-the-art infrastructure. For details on studio equipment and instruments see equipment list.

Artist Village

Adjacent to the resort and with its own access road the Artist Village offers apartments for musicians and staff. In addition, there is a communal area for creative work outside the music studio.

Offer for Cultural Creators

WEISSENHAUS does not follow a profit-driven approach with the operation of the Big Barn Studios. Supporting artists in their creative work remains the highest priority.

Talent Promotion

The Big Barn Studios Foundation supports up-and-coming artists by providing recording sessions and accommodation at WEISSENHAUS in the Artist Village.
